Scattered rain today

Partly cloudy weather was observed in the city here Friday while Met office predicted scattered rain on Saturday (today).

Met officials said a westerly wave is affecting northern parts of the country. They predicted that partly cloudy weather is expected in north Balochistan, upper Sindh, Punjab, KP, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan. However, light rain is expected at isolated places in Malakand Division, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir during (evening/night). Rainfall was recorded in different cities, including Balakot, Dir, Kakul, Kalam, Lower Dir and Kot Addu while snowfall was also observed in Kalam. Friday’s lowest minimum temperature was recorded at Astore (-04°C) while in Lahore, minimum temperature was 12.2°C. Met officials said highest temperature in Lahore went up to 25°C and humidity level was 23 percent.
