The Pakhtun profiled
By our correspondents

Imran Khan is perhaps the only national leader who has openly tweeted against the racial profiling of the Pakhtuns in the wake of the recent terrorist attacks in Punjab. To label the Pukhtuns terrorists is not only against national cohesion, but is tantamount to creating hatred in the entire Pukhtun community.
The attitude of the Punjab police towards the working class Pukhtuns has always been unfair and harsh, which has been made worse by the ‘be aware of the Pakhtuns’ campaign, allegedly being launched in some parts of Punjab. It must not be forgotten that the Pukhtuns are no less Pakistani and patriotic than other ethnic communities of Pakistan. They have suffered the most, by far, during the war on terror.
