Hospitals revamp reviewed

LAHORE

Provincial Minister for Primary & Secondary Health Khawaja Imran Nazir chaired a weekly review meeting to evaluate the progress of ongoing development projects, revamping of DHQ and THQ hospitals as well as the performance of vertical health programmes, here on Friday.

The meeting reviewed the revamping of DHQ and THQ hospitals. Dengue control arrangements and situation occurred after surfacing of a polio case was also reviewed. Kh Imran Nazir directed that the micro-planning for polio campaigns and routine immunisation coverage should be revisited and more concentration would be given to vaccinate the children migrated from other provinces. He said that routine immunisation coverage should also be improved.

The meeting reviewed the progress in the setting up of Intensive Care Units, Burn Unit and installation of CT Scan machines in DHQ hospitals. Procurement of medicines, storage and supply chain to the hospitals also came under discussion during the meeting. Kh Imran Nazir directed that the revamp project and provision of other diagnostic and treatment facilities should be accelerated for timely completion of the scheme.

He said these development projects would enhance health facilities to the people at their doorstep.

results: The Punjab University has announced the results of MSc Home Economics Part-II Second Annual Examination 2015, BS Applied Geology Third Professional Annual Examination 2016 and Diploma in Interior Design and Textile Design Annual Examinations 2015. 

Meanwhile, Punjab University has issued the schedule for submission of admission fee and forms for BS Home Economics Part-I (first and second year) and Part-II (first, second, third and fourth year) Annual Examinations 2017. The last date for submission of admission forms for the exams with single fee is 20-3-17 while the forms can be submitted with double fee till 27-3-17.
