The Special Investigation Unit (SIU) on Friday claimed to have arrested an alleged target killer affiliated with a political party.
SSP Farooq Awan of the SIU Karachi said Kashif Nazeer alias Makhi was arrested after an encounter during a raid in the Landhi area.
He was shifted to the investigation unit. Awan said the arrested man, who has been declared an absconder by two anti-terrorism courts, belonged to a political party being operated from London.
SSP Awan said Nazeer and his associates shot at and hurled a hand grenade at two police mobiles.
