Pakistan in quarters despite losing to Singapore

KARACHI: Pakistan reached the quarter-finals of Junior Davis Cup pre-qualifying round of Asia Oceania region at R K Khanna Stadium Tennis courts in Delhi on Wednesday.
Pakistan achieved the second position in group C despite losing 0-3 to Singapore in the last group match.
In the first singles, Hamza Bin Rehan was beaten by Robin Cheng 4-6, 2-6 and in the second singles Muhammad Shoaib lost to Ethan Lye 2-6, 3-6.
In doubles, Hamza and Shoaib were overpowered by Robin Cheng and Caleb Tay 6-7(3), 7-6(5), 8-10. Pakistan now will face Philippines in the last-eight stage on Thursday (today).
