Rescuers reached the scene and controlled the fire. The victim has been identified as Shehr Bano, daughter of Badshah Khan. The injured victims were shifted to hospital for treatment.

Rescuers said the gas had spread in the kitchen of a house situated near Mehmoodabad graveyard due to leakage. As someone lit fire, the cylinder exploded with a big bang at around 11:36am. Soon after the incident, locals of the area came on main road and started protesting against the authorities concerned, including PML-N MNA. They claimed there was no gas for the last many months.
