LAHORE
The Punjab government approved three development schemes of different sectors, including scooty for working women, at an estimated cost of Rs1.3 billion.
These schemes were approved in the 55th meeting of Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) of current fiscal year 2016-17 presided over by P&D Chairman Muhammad Jahanzeb Khan.
Provincial Secretary Planning and Development Iftikhar Ali Sahoo, members of the Planning & Development Board, provincial secretaries concerned and other senior representatives of the relevant provincial departments also attended the meeting.
The approved development schemes included widening/improvement of road from Vanike Tarrar to Chak Bhatti Turn via Behak Ahmed Yar, Thatha Bahma and Narowal i/c Link, District Hafizabad at the cost of Rs640.568 million, Chief Minister E-Rozgar Training Programme at the cost of Rs560.66 million and scooty for working women pilot project chief minsiter’s initiatives at the cost of Rs90 million.
