A delegation from the Open University of China visited Roots Millennium Schools One World Campus, E-11/4, to see CRI-Roots Confucius Classrooms, says a press release.
The delegation comprised President of Open University of China Xu Jinpei, Vice Secretary Chief Editor of ‘Brilliance’ weekly Zhang Wei, Branch Secretary-Chairman Beijing Bolong Yang Guang New Energy Sources Science and Technology Gao Xuming and seven other members.
Director of the Outreach and Schools Mrs. Sabina Zakir and Mrs. Ayesha Ansar, manager of the Millennium Chinese Language Department, together with the Chinese language faculty and management staff welcomed the delegation. The delegates visited Chinese language classes and met students at RMS One World Campus.
The aim of the visit was to promote the Chinese language and seek opportunities for the Pakistani students to carry on their higher education in various Universities of China based on exchange as well as scholarship programmes. The delegation pledged to facilitate Roots Millennium Schools Chinese language teachers by providing them with quality training in Pakistan and China and further strengthen the Chinese language initiative undertaken by Roots Millennium Schools.
The Roots Millennium Schools, under the guidance of Chaudhry Faisal Mushtaq, TI, launched the Chinese Language School Initiative three and a half years back. Currently, 5,000 students of Roots Millennium Schools are learning Chinese language as part of their structured academic study plan and language curriculum from Grade 1 to Grade 7.
