KARACHI: National Table Tennis championship will be held at Bahawalpur from January 23-28, a senior official of Pakistan Table Tennis Federation (PTTF) said on Tuesday.
Around 100 male and female players will take part in the event from the four provinces, Islamabad, Habib Bank Limited (HBL), Army, WAPDA and Higher Education Commission (HEC).
WAPDA will defend the men’s title, while HBL will defend the women’s crown.
The country’s leading player Asim Qureshi of WAPDA will defend the men’s singles crown, while Shabnam Bilal of HBL will defend the women’s singles title.
PTTF chief SM Sibtain told this correspondent that from February 14-17 Masters Ranking Table Tennis championship would be organised at Karachi as well as the annual general body meeting of PTTF.
