Islamabad: Minister of State for Capital Administration and Development Barrister Usman Ibrahim on Monday paid a surprise visit to educational institutions in the capital city and declared their security arrangements satisfactory.
During the visit, the minister examined boundary walls that were under construction and ordered early completion of work.
He also saw razor wires, CCTV cameras and control room for security on the premises.
The minister found security personnel alert with weapons and metal detectors.
His vehicle was allowed to enter the schools and colleges after complete checking with the minister admiring the tight security and asking the administration to check every staff, parent and guardian before entering schools and colleges.
The minister visited classrooms and spoke to students and found them to be confident.
He asked principals to conduct a security meeting of staff on a daily basis and remain more vigilant with surroundings.
The FDE director general and CAD joint secretary accompanied the minister during the visit.
