Leave of fire brigade staff cancelled

The city administrator declaring a state of emergency in the fire brigade department has cancelled leave of the staff and ordered them to resume their duties immediately.
Saqib Soomro was presiding over a meeting on Monday to review the performance of the department. He directed all the staff at the fire stations to remain alert and asked the chief fire officer and other relevant officers to monitor and supervise the fire extinguishing operations. He said the response time after receiving information of any fire incident should also be checked.
