BAHAWALPUR: A 13-year-old girl died while two others sustained burns when a fire broke out in a house at Sabzazar Colony near One Unit Chowk on Sunday.
Faiza, a maid servant and a resident of Khanqah Sharif, lit a match stick but a fire broke out due to leakage of gas in the kitchen. As a result, a huge blast occurred and the house caught fire. Faiza was burnt alive while two others including a minor child received severe burns and shifted to the BVH emergency. Fire fighters were trying to extinguish the fire till the filing of this report.
MQM PROTEST: Activists of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) on Sunday staged a demonstration against the alleged extrajudicial killings of the party workers in Karachi.
The protesters holding placards gathered outside the Bahawalnagar Press Club and demanded the government constitute a judicial commission immediately to probe into the matter.
