No cut in transport fares in Jhang From Our Correspondent JHANG: Despite Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif’s orders, transport fares and prices of daily-use items could not be reduced in the district due to vacant post of DO Enterprises and Investment Promotion, who was also the District Price Control Committee secretary, for last two years. The DO (E&IP) is responsible for keeping a vigilant eye on the pricing process and implementation of government directions. After a cut in the prices of petroleum products, the CM had ordered to reduce the fares and prices of daily-use items to provide a relief to the masses. Meanwhile, people have appealed to the chief secretary to take notice of non-implementation of the chief minister’s orders.
