Christian community holds peace rally

PESHAWAR: The members of the Christian community held a peace rally from Saddar to the Peshawar Press Club here on Sunday.
A large number of men, women and children from Christian community participated in the rally while holding banners and placards inscribed with slogans like ‘long live Pakistan’ long live Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,’ ‘We are a living nation and happy Christmas & ‘Happy new year’.
They chanted slogans in favour of peace and expressed love for and loyalty to the country.The speakers said, like other Pakistanis, Christians were peace-loving and loyal citizens and playing their role in the progress and prosperity of the country. They vowed to render any sacrifice for maintenance of peace and tranquility in the province and country.
