Azerbaijan ambassador Ali Alizada has extended full support to Pakistan on Kashmir issue. He was addressing a conference on ‘Heydar Aliyev: Founder of modern Azerbaijan and his role in Azerbaijan-Pakistan relations.’
The conference was jointly organised by School of Politics and International Relations (SPIR) Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU) and Embassy of the Azerbaijan. The aim of conference was to commemorate the death anniversary of Late Heydar Aliyev founder of modern Azerbaijan.
The ambassador thanked the government and people of Pakistan for their support on the issue of Nigorno Karabakh and emphasised over the peaceful resolutions of these outstanding conflicts adhering to UN resolutions.
He congratulated the students and Faculty of QAU on making it to top 100 universities of Asia. Speakers in the conference elaborated the role of Heydar Aliyev as a great leader and reformer in the modern history of Azerbaijan who pulled out his country from severe crisis onto the road of progress.
The panelists included Dr. Zafar Nawaz Jaspal, Senior Professor at SPIR Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad, Mr. Mehmood-ul-Hassan Khan, expert on Central Asia and Azerbaijan, Mrs. Farhat Asif, president of Institute of Peace and Diplomatic Studies discussed bilateral relations. A large number of students and faculty members attended the conference.
