Trader’s allegations against SHO found true

NOWSHERA: The district and sessions judge on Saturday took notice of implicating a trader from Balochistan in a fake case by the cops of Risalpur Police Station.

District and Sessions Judge Nowshera Zafar Iqbal took the action on the complaint of the trader Saadullah. The trader complained to the judge that he was on way to Mardan in his car with the driver and security guard in connection with his business few days ago.

He informed the court that the Station House Officer (SHO) of Risalpur Alamgir Khan had intercepted the car near Rashakai Interchange on Peshawar-Islamabad Motorway.The trader said that he introduced himself to the SHO, showed the licence of two pistols and car but the police arrested him and kept him in a lock up for two days without lodging any case against him.

Taking notice of the incident, District and Sessions Judge Nowshera Zafar Iqbal directed the SHO to appear before the court and produce the car.The judge also directed the Civil-cum-Judicial Magistrate Tariq Shehzad to investigate the case and present him detail report of the incident.

The Civil-cum-Judicial Magistrate Tariq Shehzad recorded the statements of the SHO, cops and other related persons to the case and found the allegations true.The cops and Abid, the manager of Safiullah Advocate, then returned the money to the trader and the court reprimanded the SHO.District Police Officer Wahid Mehmood made the SHO officer on special duty (OSD) and transferred him to Akora Khattak Police Station on general duty.
