Three Pak players reach Iran Navy Squash Open quarters

KARACHI: Ahsan Ayaz, Tayyab Aslam, and Ammad Fareed moved into the quarter-finals of the $5,000 Iran Navy Squash Open at Heidarnia Squash Club, Tehran on Tuesday evening.
According to the results of the first round, top seed Tayyab defeated Mohammed Ferman Hasan of Iraq 12-10, 11-7, 11-9 in 44 minutes and third seed Ahsan beat Samieollah Ghasedabadi of Iran 14-12, 11-3, 12-10 in 32 minutes.
Sixth seed Ammad won against qualifier Soheil Shameli of Iran 11-3, 11-8, 8-11, 11-3 in 35 minutes.
In the last-eight stage, Tayyab is up against qualifier Mohammad Reza of Iran, Ahsan will play against eighth seed Joeri Hapers of Belgium, and Ammad is to face second seed Auguste Dussourd of France.
