A three-day anti-polio campaign is also set to launch on December 19. The health department of the country is commended for taking out this step to free the country from the plague of the polio disease. The drive starting from December 19 is aimed to vaccinate around 498,739 children under five years to save them from the serious disease.
According to some media reports at least 1,010 polio teams had been constituted for the door-to-door campaign and would be deputed at bus stands, public places, railway stations and other public places. It is hoped that more of these campaigns will be carried out in the future in order to eradicate the disease forever.
