LALAMUSA: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) central Punjab president Qamar Zaman Kaira has warned the government of toppling it if it does not accept their four demands by December 27.

Addressing a gathering at Dera Kaira on Saturday night, he criticised Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and alleged that he (Shahbaz) wasted billions rupees in the name of Sasti Roti. He further alleged that the CM was focusing only on Lahore.

He asked the PPP workers to unite to complete the mission of PPP founder chairman Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and former prime minister Benazir Bhutto. He said: “There are terrorists among the rulers as claimed by their own companions.” Quality education was not being imparted to students in the government schools, he said, adding that the schools were also facing shortage of teachers.

Regarding Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s threat to stop Pakistan water, Kaira said that he could use this language with his ‘friends’ but he should know that there were followers of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto in the country. He asked the rulers to appoint a foreign minister immediately. PPP former Punjab secretary Chaudhry Tanveer Ashraf Kaira and former MNA Manzoor Ahmad also spoke on the occasion.

Meanwhile, Chaudhry Qamar Zaman Kaira visited Naikabad on Sunday and condoled with Pakistan Aalmi Tanzeem Ahle Sunnat chief Pir Muhammad Afzal Qadri over the death of his mother. He also visited Machiana village and condoled with former banker Chaudhry Shamraiz’ family over his death.
