PESHAWAR: A former People’s Students Federation activist Ghani Gul Mahsud here Friday filed an application with the Hayatabad Police Station for lodging the first information report (FIR) against the director general of the Peshawar Development Authority (PDA) and his security personnel for torturing and insulting him.
Ghani Gul Mahsud, who until 2015 served as chairman of the Pakistan Red Crescent Society for Fata, said that he along with the office-bearers of the People’s Labour Union was present in his office after staging a protest rally against the involvement of PDA officials in corruption when the PDA security personnel arrived there and directed them to vacate the office.
He added that the security guards told him that the director general PDA had directed them to get the office vacated.
Ghani Gul Mahsud alleged that he and his colleagues were tortured and dragged out of the PDA building.
“I want the police to take action against the director general PDA and the security men for torturing me and sealing my office,” he said in his application.
