Plan to celebrate LHC 150th anniversary

PAKPATTAN: The district and sessions judge Thursday said a comprehensive plan was chalked out to celebrate 150th anniversary of the Lahore High Court. According to the senior civil judge, sports competitions and Mehfil-e-Milad were held. He said a seminar on judiciary will be held on November 26.
WOMAN DIES IN FIRING: A woman died in a clash between two parties in Kartarpur.
Men of two opponents groups traded firing, leaving Munawar Bibi, 40, dead on the spot and Ahmad Ali, 33, Ali Sher, 35, Shanay Khan, 26, and Muhammad Ahmad injured critically. The injured were rushed to the Rural Health Centre, Bonga Hayat.
BODY RECOVERED: A body of a woman was recovered from Pakpattan Canal near Jamal Chowk. The body was without hands and eyes. Rescue-1122 staff handed over the body to police.
FAKE CHEQUE CASE: A man was booked on charges of issuing a fake cheque. Accused Muhammad Arshad purchased an agricultural tool from Muhammad Idrees of Arifwala and gave him a cheque that was bounced. Police have registered a case.
SECTION 144 IMPOSED: DCO Irfan Ahmad Sindhu Thursday imposed Section 144 around examination centres in the district and banned entry of unauthorized people in the centres of BA/BSc exams of BZU Multan.
