Though a fresh westerly wave is affecting northern parts of the country and likely to persist for next few days, dry weather will continue to prevail in the provincial capital on Monday (today).
Met officials said mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country. They predicted rain-thunderstorm with snowfall over the hills at isolated places of Malakand, Hazara divisions, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir. They predicted that shallow foggy conditions are likely to occur in plain areas of Punjab during morning hours. On Sunday, no rain was recorded in any part of the country while lowest minimum temperature was recorded at Skardu where mercury dropped to -04°C. In Lahore, a sunny day was observed while temperature was 25°C and humidity was 40 percent.
