Man killed over minor dispute

PAKPATTAN: A man was shot dead over a minor dispute at Chak 91-EB on Friday.

Accused Nasir and Ameer Hamza quarreled with Nazim Din over a minor issue. Later, the accused allegedly shot him dead. Police have registered a case.

CRUSHED TO DEATH: An old man was crushed to death in an accident on Sahiwal Road on Friday.

Muhammad Hanif of Arifwala was on his way when a speeding truck crushed him to death. Police have registered a case.

WOMAN ABDUCTED: A married woman was allegedly abducted from Chak 67-D on Friday.

Five accused including Ramzan entered the house of Muhammad Anwar and allegedly abducted his niece. Police have register3ed a case.

MAN HELD FOR DECANTING: The DO Civil Defence along with police arrested a shopkeeper on the charge of decanting.

The team raided the shop of Muhammad Ahmad at Mohallah Muzaffarabad, Arifwala, and arrested him for decanting. The police have registered a case.

LAWYERS STRIKE: The District Bar Association Pakpattan and the Tehsil Bar Association Arifwala members observed a complete strike against the government for not issuing a notification of establishment of the Lahore High Court Bench in Sahiwal.

2 BOOTLEGGERS HELD: Police on Friday arrested two bootleggers.

The police arrested Muhammad Rizwan with six litres wine and Shahzad Ali with 2 litres wine. The police have registered separate cases.
