Army to train Sindh Police constables
KARACHI: Some 4,000 newly appointed constables of Sindh Police will get initial training by Pakistan Army, The News learnt.
Official documents of Sindh Police available with The News suggests that 1,000 newly appointed constables from Hyderabad zone will get training at Hyderabad Cantonment, 1,600 constables of Larkana zone at Pano Aqil Cantonment, 600 of Mirpurkhas zone at Badin Cantonment and 800 of Karachi zone at Malir Cantonment, Karachi.
According to official figures, 4253 constables have been selected from all five zones of Sindh and out of them 4000 have been sent to Cantonments for initial trainings by army. Assistant Inspector General Muhammad Naeem Shaikh confirmed the figures. It is pertinent to mention here that it is the first time in history of Sindh province that these police constables are being trained by the army.
