Murdered man’s body found in drain

LAHORE

A body of a 25-year-old man was found in Jia Bugga drain in the Raiwind area on Saturday.

The victim, identified as Abdul Jabbar, ran a service station.

Some unidentified persons had shot him in the head a day back and dumped his body in the drain.

Police have removed the body to morgue and registered a case against unidentified killers. 

found dead: A 45-year-old man died at the hands of some unidentified swindlers in the Gwalmandi area on Saturday.

Police suspected that some swindlers might have served some poisonous substance to the victim to rob him. Police have shifted the body to morgue.

Flat gutted: Household items worth thousands of rupees were reduced to ashes when a fire broke out in a flat in the Liaqatabad area on Saturday.

The cause of the fire was stated to be a short-circuit. Firefighters extinguished it after hectic efforts. No casualty was reported.
