JHANG: DCO Raja Khurram Shahzad has said that it is a prime responsibility of Ulema and public representatives to play their vital role in maintaining religious harmony.
Addressing a peace committee meeting in his office here on Thursday, he urged the participants to maintain the peaceful environment on Eid Miladun Nabi (PBUH). He said that the Punjab government was concerned about the law and order situation and the law-enforcement agencies would make foolproof arrangements to avert any untoward incident during Eid Milad events.
Later, chairing a meeting of the District Intelligence Committee, the DCO said that the Punjab Home Department had issued instructions regarding enforcement of code of conduct for religious personalities. During the meeting, a security plan of Eid Miladun Nabi (PBUH) was also discussed.
