40 deported from Muscat
LAHORE
Around 40 Pakistanis have been deported back to Lahore from Muscat who had been captured there for entering the country illegally.
According to FIA officials, the deportees belonging to different areas of the country were received at Allama Iqbal Airport on Monday. Majority of the deportees were charged with entering Muscat illegally whereas some were charged with staying there after the expiry of their visas.
Immigration officials of FIA handed all the deportees over to Anti Human Trafficking Cell (AHTC). FIRs have also been registered against them.
A few days back over 20 people were deported back to the country from Greece. All the deportees had gone to Greece through land route via Balochistan-Iran and Turkey. They are being investigated by AHTC.
