Gandhara University may be renamed

LAHORE
An advisory committee formed by Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) on Saturday proposed changing the name of Gandhara University, Taxila, with Buddha or Siddharat University as a university with the name of Gandhara already existed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. According to a press release, it was proposed in the meeting of the advisory committee held with ETPB Chairman Siddiq-ul-Farooq the chair. Punjab Higher Education Commission Chairman Prof Nizam Uddin, Punjab University Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran, Sargodha University former VC Muhammad Akram and representatives of Bahauddin Zakariya University were also present.
