16,000 more displaced families return to Orakzai Agency
HANGU: As many as 16,000 displaced families have returned to native villages in Orakzai Agency during the second phase of the return process that was started on August 30 and concluded on Thursday.
Talking to reporters during a visit to the entry point for the displaced families, Sector Commander (South) Frontier Corps (FC) Brigadier Imran Haider Sherazi said the displaced persons belonging to Ali Khel, Mishti, Akhel and Mulakhel tribes have been sent back to their hometowns during the second phase.
Among others, the officials of military and political administration were also present on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion, Brig Imran Sherazi said that the displaced families have been returning to their hometowns after living a life in makeshift arrangements for about nine years. He said that damaged schools, hospitals and other infrastructure would soon be constructed in the affected areas.
