Apex committee to hold next session in November’s first week
Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah and Karachi Corps Commander Lieutenant General Naveed Mukhtar have decided to summon the next session of the provincial apex committee in the first week of November.
According to media reports, the chief minister met the corps commander at the CM House on Wednesday and discussed the law and order situation in the metropolis after the horrific Quetta police training college attack that killed 62 recruits and left another 116 wounded.
They also talked about the implementation of the National Action Plan (NAP) in Sindh and the ongoing targeted operation in Karachi.
The spokesman for the CM House said several issues regarding security arrangements in the city came under discussion, while Shah also announced stern action against those who challenge the government writ.
A day earlier, the government had decided at a meeting held at the CM House to do register all immigrants residing in the province.
Presiding over that meeting, the chief minister had ordered a crackdown against 93 seminaries having links with terrorist or banned outfits.
