KP lawyers to also observe province-wide strike today
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Bar Council Vice-Chairman Farogh Naseem and legal fraternity Tuesday strongly condemned the terrorist attack on Police Training College Quetta and appealed the lawyers to observe countrywide strike today (Wednesday).
The lawyers also will hold protest meetings and wear black bands to condemn the tragic incident.Condemning the terrorist attack, they demanded federal and Balochistan governments to maintain law and order and provided security and safety to people.
They urged the government to arrest culprits earliest and bring them to justice.Expressing solidarity with bereaved families on behalf of the legal fraternity, they emphasised the need for evolving foolproof practical strategy and plan for improving law and order situation throughout country. –APP
PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bar Council and Peshawar High Court Bar Association on Tuesday announced to observe a complete strike across the province today (Wednesday) to protest the terrorist attack on the police academy in Quetta. The lawyers’ bodies from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa announced the strike after the call from Pakistan Bar Council to observe a complete strike in the province.
The Peshawar High Court Bar Association said in a press release on Tuesday that the lawyers would not appear in courts at the Peshawar High Court and its subordinate courts as a mark of protest against the Quetta killings.
