The court also sought reply from the FIA in the case. Palwasha Afridi filed bail before arrest application with the special anti-corruption judge after the FIA booked her in the case.

Danish Afridi, the petitioner’s lawyer, said the FIA had charged his client for issuing fake CNICs to Afghan nationals. He submitted that the FIA had charged the petitioner without any proof. He submitted that the FIA had registered the case against the assistant director on the basis of allegations

The court granted pre-arrest bail to the assistant director Nadra till October 28 and restrained the FIA from arresting her.  It is pertinent to mention that many Nadra officials were charged with issuing CNICs to Afghan nationals after the CNICs verification process was launched.
