Staff of the Town Planning Wing of Lahore Development Authority demolished four illegal constructions in Sabzazar Scheme, Samanabad and the Hadiara Drain area here on Monday.
Officials said the owner of plot No 1, Block-Q, Sabzazar Scheme, measuring 1-Kanal, had changed the original shape of the residential building and converted it into shops illegally, after obtaining completion certificate of his house. This illegal construction of shops was demolished by LDA.
The owner of plot No 134 Samanabad had constructed commercial type columns for construction of shops against the approved house plan, which were demolished by LDA. In the Hadiara Drain area, the owner had constructed industrial building without getting approval from LDA which was demolished. The walls, pillars and under-construction beams were demolished. At another point in the same area, the owner constructed shops. The LDA staff took action at site after fulfilling formalities. The building was demolished. The LDA officials said the campaign against illegal structures in the city was in progress and every such structure would be demolished.
