Nawaz consults party leaders on PTI’s protest call

LAHORE: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif spent the day in Lahore and held meetings with the Punjab governor, federal provincial and federal ministers and DG Rangers to discuss different issues, including a political solution to the protest of PTI.
Though no official statement was issued regarding these meetings held on Saturday, sources in the PML-N said the party leaders discussed the protest call of PTI Chairman Imran Khan.
It was learnt that Khawaja Saad Rafique, a member of ministers committee established by the prime minister, contacted Leader of the Opposition Khursheed Shah and expressed his desire to devise a strategy to handle the lockdown call of PTI.
