The Punjab government has taken a number of steps to facilitate people with special needs in getting higher education. There is no age limit for physically-challenged people to take admission in any education institution all over the province Not only this, one seat is also reserved for such people in higher education programmes such as MPhil and PhD. If any disabled person wishes to sit in the Central Superior Services examination, s/he is allowed to bring an exam assistant.
Government and private sector institutions are requested to highlight the achievement of the physically challenged people in their respective departments. This will not only encourage philanthropists to contribute towards the welfare of such people but will also encourage such people to pursue their dreams.
