Pakistani women have been harassed, groped, and assaulted in public spaces to the effect that they no longer feel safe stepping out alone. Taking this into consideration, the Punjab CM’s Special Monitoring Unit aims to put an end to street violence and harassment against women.
The CM also aims to increase the independence of women by launching the ‘Women on Wheels’ initiative. This will prove to be a historic development towards independence, at least in mobility, for women.
