21 tanneries sealed for non-payment of dues in Kasur

KASUR: The district administration sealed 21 tanneries for non-payment of dues and environmental issues here on Wednesday.
A team headed by Assistant Commissioner Amina Rafiq raided Din Gar and Niaz Nagar areas and sealed 21 tanneries for not paying pending dues of the Kasur Tanneries Waste Management Authorities (KTWMA) and environmental issues. According to the AC, the tanneries owners had been repeatedly served notices but to no use. The AC said that the sealed tanneries were collectively default of Rs 5 million. She said that the operation against default and those violating environmental rules would continue without any discrimination.
