Man injured over enmity

PAKPATTAN: A man was injured over enmity at Chak 19/SP on Sunday.

Six accused including Zulfiqar entered the house of Muhammad Ashraf and allegedly injured him with the help of axes and clubs. Police have registered a case.

2 FRAUDSTERS BOOKED: Police on Sunday booked two fraudsters in separate incidents here.

Accused Rizwan Ahmad allegedly gave a fake cheque of Rs 100,000 to Abdul Aziz of Malka Hans Town, which was bounced by the concerned bank. In another incident, accused Hidayatullah allegedly gave a bogus cheque to Imtiaz Ahmad, which was bounced by the bank.

2 TORTURED: Two people were tortured over enmity near Barry Pattan on Sunday.

Eight accused including Muzammil Shah allegedly attacked and tortured Muhammad Khalid and his driver over enmity. Police have registered a case.

VALUABLES LOOTED: A dacoity incident was reported here on Sunday.

Muhammad Azam and his friend Amjad were on their way by a bike when four dacoits stopped them and snatched valuables from them near Chak 22-SP. Police have registered a case.

DACOITY BID FOILED: A dacoity bid was foiled near Mohallah Madina Town on Sunday.

Abid Ali was on his way when four dacoits intercepted him and tried to loot him. On his hue and cry, the dacoits fled. Police have registered a case.

 

Rally on World Food Day

PAKPATTAN: The Food Department took out a rally on the World Food Day here on Sunday.

The rally was organised under the leadership of DCO Irfan Ahmad. The rally started from a TMA park in which participants were carrying banners and placards. Speaking on the occasion, the DCO said that it was the duty of all persons to save food for the coming generations.
