Karbala’s message

This refers to the editorial, ‘The message of Karbala’, (Oct 12). The martyrdom of Imam Hussain is the epitome of patience, resilience, tolerance and sacrifice. He put the lives of his whole family at stake but he refused to budge an inch from his instance. Imam Hussain proved it that when you are right no power of the world can suppress you. The Karbala incident teaches that when you are struggling for a just cause, you may lose momentarily but gain eternally.

We should stand by those who are weaker and oppressed. The indomitable spirit and the unconquerable will manifested by Imam Hussain serves as a beacon of light for all those who believe in the welfare, equality and emancipation of humanity.
