KARACHI: Pakistan International Airlines’ Ahsan Ayaz showed phenomenal display to reach the final of the $5000 Malaysian Tour No 4 in Penang, Malaysia, on Thursday. Qualifier Ahsan first stunned second seed Asim Khan 12-10, 11-3, 11-6 in just 30 minutes in the first round and then overpowered Henry Leung of Hong Kong 11-2, 11-8, 13-15, 11-13, 11-6 in 81 minutes in the quarter-finals.
Ahsan continued his winning spree when he beat Yuen Tsun Hei of HK 11-8, 10-12, 11-8, 11-6 in 43 minutes in the semi-finals. He will face fifth seed Mohd Syafiq Kamal of Malaysia in the final.
