to traditional ways of farming
From Our Correspondent
FAISALABAD: The agriculture sector is underperforming due to traditional ways of farming and issues relating to seeds and value chain.
This was stated by University of Agriculture Faisalabad Vice-Chancellor Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan while talking to a delegation of the German Development Cooperation International Training here. He said that the population of the country was increasing at a large pace and in the coming decades, it would be doubled. He said that pasteurised milk technology must be promoted at the village level to ensure its nutritive value.
He said that the UAF was partnered with the University of Kassel, Germany, on the food security. He said that the university housed a satellite unit of a German-funded International Centre for Development and Decent Work (ICDD) to fight against global hunger and poverty through research and education.
