Teacher transferred near home, but no school

JHANG: An opportunity provided by the Punjab Schools Education Department to the teachers to transfer them near their homes has become a nuisance for a female teacher as there is no elementary girls school at Paberwala, The News learnt here.
The department has provided an opportunity to the teachers to transfer them near homes by introducing the transfer policy vide amended notification No SO (SE-IV) 2-34/2009 dated 09-9-2016. Following the policy, the Jhang Education Department prepared the teachers transfer list after a lengthy procedure.
According to the teachers transfer notification No 10775-781/Admn, elementary schoolteacher (EST/BS-14) Hina Rana was transferred to the Government Girls Elementary School, Paberwala, from the Government Girls High School, Hasobalail.
In compliance with the transfer order issued from the EDO Office, Hina Rana appeared before the deputy district education officer (Women) for joining the elementary school, but she was told that there was no Government Girls Elementary School in Paberwala. Now, the teacher has become a rolling stone between the two offices.
When contacted, DDO Nasreen Abdullah claimed that the transfer notification was issued from the EDO Office and there was no girls elementary school in Paberwala. Education EDO Naseem Ahmad Zahid said that he would conduct an inquiry and the DDO and other officials concerned would be served notices. He said that the lady teacher would soon be adjusted.
