Pakistan beaten by India in U18 Asia Cup semi

KARACHI: Pakistan’s journey in the Boys Under-18 Asia Cup was halted on Thursday as they went down against India in the semi-final in Dhaka.
At Dhaka’s Maulana Bhashani hockey stadium, India went ahead early and were leading 2-0 at the half time. They added another goal in the second half. Pakistan’s only goal was scored by Amjad Ali Khan off a penalty corner.
In the final, India will face Bangladesh who beat Chinese Taipei in the first semi-final.
In their pool match, Bangladesh had surprisingly beaten India by 5-4. Pakistan will play Chinese Taipei for the third position.
