Eid-Milan party held at AIOU

Allama Iqbal Open University’s Employees from grade 1 to 16 received unprecedented benefits in term of their timely promotion to next grades and increase in their emoluments, in a short span of time, less than two years.
The employees received all the financial benefits and incentives announced by the federal government in the annual budget, said President of Employees Welfare Association (EWA) Malik Saeed at an ‘Eid-Milan’ party held here Thursday.
Giving credit of these some outstanding welfare-oriented measures to the incumbent Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Shahid Siddiqui, he said it was the first time in the history of the University that the management and employees worked in a team spirit with same mind-set. The VC all the time kept his door open for resolution of the genuine and legal demands of the employees and improving their working conditions.
It was noted that almost all the vacant posts have been fulfilled, giving repaid promotion to the employees through Selection Boards and Departmental Promotion Committee. There had been consecutive meetings of Board and the DPC to ensure timely up-gradation of the employees’ official position. The employees received 25 percent increase in the medical allowance in the recent year.
