NOWSHERA: District Nazim Liaqat Khan Khattak said on Wednesday that the era of loot and plunder, corruption is over and decisions were being made on merit.
Addressing a session of District Council at Khushal Khan Khattak Memorial Hall in Akora Khattak, he said the institutions in the province had been made independent. He added that Chief Minister Pervez Khattak never interfered in affairs of the departments.
However, the opposition leader Malik Juma Khan expressed concern over non-provision of funds. “The opposition members are not being given their due share in uplift funds,” he added.Ashfaq Ahmad Khan presided over the session. The officials of the various departments of the district were also present on the occasion.
