Polish delegation meets IGP

A two-member delegation led by Poland Ambassador Piotr Obalinski called on the Inspector General of Police here on Wednesday.

During the meeting, IGP and the guests shared views over working of Punjab and Poland police. The Ambassador invited the officers of Punjab police to participate in the training courses at National Police Academy Poland, while IGP offered police training at National Police Academy and Police College Sahala for the police officers of Poland.

The officials said price control magistrates checked 844 places, challaned 21 shopkeepers and imposed a fine of Rs15,300 on them. Lahore DCO warned that strict action would be taken against shopkeepers for overcharging. He directed the enforcement teams to regularly check big shops, malls and markets to ensure implementation on CDGL’s price control list.
