PTI’s Raiwind march not to yield anything: Khursheed
SUKKUR: Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Syed Khursheed Shah has said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) Raiwind march would not yield anything meaningful.
Talking to the media, he said that the PTI’s sit-in would not do any harm to Nawaz Sharif as he would visit Raiwind through helicopter while Imran would be staging the sit-in.Shah said that no one heeded to protest in this country but in the developed world protests were properly attended.
The PPP leader dubbed the Panama Papers an open book of corruption. He said the government’s stubbornness over the Panama issue was still there. He said that poverty could only be eradicated when corruption was eliminated.“Whether it is PanamaLeaks or Wikileaks no one is ready to close this leak. The biggest challenge being faced by the country is corruption.”
He said that Imran Khan would sit on the ground and Nawaz Sharif would continue to land in helicopter. He said the government was adamant on not formulating a proper law for the PanamaLeaks probe and added when Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif himself three times said accountability should be started from him, why the government was creating hurdles. “It means that there was something wrong.”
