KARACHI: Pakistan registered another big victory when they defeated China 6-0 in their match of Boys Under-18s Asia Cup.
The Green-shirts had defeated Chinese-Taipei 6-1 the other day.
At Dhaka’s Maulana Bhashani Hockey Stadium, as in their first match, Pakistan struggled to find the target in the opening half. They had several chances but the finishing was poor and it was only 1-0 after 35 minutes.
In the second half, they were all over China and goals came regularly. Chinese did raid opponents’ territory a few times but Pakistani defence held firm.
The scorers were Amjad Ali (2), Afraz (2), Khairullah and Ali Aziz. Pakistan’s final pool match is against Hong Kong, China, on Tuesday (tomorrow).
