Shujaat, Pervaiz pledge to continue serving people

PML-Q president Shujaat Hussain, senior leaders Ch Pervaiz Elahi, Ch Wajahat Hussain and Ch Shafaat Hussain have pledged on the 35th death anniversary of Shaheed Ch Zahoor Elahi that they by following the path of Shaheed Ch Zahoor Elahi would continue serving and protecting people and upholding the cause of Pakistan. 

We have learnt spirit of serving people from Ch Zahoor Elahi. So, like him we will say no to anyone, they added.

According to a press release issued on Sunday, addressing a big gathering and talking to the media in Zahoor Elahi House, Ch Pervaiz Elahi said Nawaz Sharif did not say anything new on Kashmir issue in General Assembly. Every ruler of Pakistan has been presenting the same stance for the last 70 years. Our hearts beat with the Kashmiris, he added. 

He said: “All our national institutions provided concrete proofs to Nawaz Sharif about Indian interference in Balochistan and involvement in terrorism in Pakistan, but he did not mention it in his speech in the General Assembly. Modi has admitted terrorism for separation of East Pakistan and now after undertaking activities of terrorism in Balochistan through RAW and arrest of a serving Indian army officer Kulbhushan Yadav, under the UN Resolution 1373, the Modi government is guilty of war against Pakistan and international terrorism”.

Pervaiz Elahi said the Kashmiris themselves kept the Kashmir issue alive by offering sacrifice of their lives.

“If Modi tried to impose war on Pakistan, he would come to know what would happen with India after a fatwa for Jehad is given. The nation and all parties are united against India”, he said. 

He alleged that in Punjab, the rulers have destroyed all sectors including health and education. 

“Everyone is on roads. By importing tomatoes, potatoes and other Indian vegetables, they are benefitting the Indian farmers and destroying the Pakistani farmers. They are only concerned about ‘jangla bus’ and dollar making train,” he alleged. 

“If Almighty Allah grants us another opportunity, we will again do such works which have never been done before in the history. The poor and common man will again take pride in calling himself Pakistani. We will work for promotion of religion (deen). The N-Leaguers have not yet able to complete even the Ring Road whereas they are ready to give the government hospitals also on contract,” 

Pervaiz Elahi said. 

Ch Zahoor Elahi Shaheed anniversary was observed with due reverence and respect in Gujrat. After recitation of Holy Quran, a wreath of flowers was laid on his grave and "Fateha" was offered. In the venue of the death anniversary meeting, photos and banners were displayed about services of Ch Zahoor Elahi, Ch Shujaat Hussain, Ch Pervaiz Elahi, Ch Wajahat Hussain, Ch Shafaat Hussain, Moonis Elahi, Shafay Hussain and Hussain Elahi. 

Gathering was also addressed by Ch Zaheeruddin Khan and Mian Imran Masood while a large number of MPs, UCs chairmen and elected local bodies representatives were present. They included Ch Wajahat Hussain, Ch Shafaat Hussain, Riaz Asghar Ch, Tahir Sadiq, Hussain Elahi, Mian Shehzad Tufail, Dr Ansar, Safdar Warraich, Salim Kamboh, Mian Pervaiz Pagganwala, Mazhar Natt, Khalid Asghar Ghural, Abdullah Yousuf, Akram Babar Khokhar, Zulfiqar Paan, Omar Shaikh besides other PML-Q leaders.

On this occasion, PML-N zonal president Ch Ejaz Ahmad Gondal announced joining the PML-Q along with his supporters. Fateha Khwani and dua was led by Peer Rizwan Mansoor Awami.
