This refers to the article, ‘Why governments fail’ (September19) by Dr A Q Khan and the letter, ‘Incorrect assumptions’ (September 20) by Shakir Lakhani. Pakistan is a victim of an undocumented economy. This has led a section of our society become filthy rich.
No fair taxation or other policies can work until the economy is brought to the stage of absolute documentation. Who is going to bell the cat?
